A little History...

When we set out to develop a coin holder with a child resistant lid, we weren't quite sure what the final design would look like. We knew we had a really ingenious lid technology that could keep kids safe. We also knew we wanted to make a piggy bank for adults.

Our earliest prototypes were designed to be a coin sorter, but they didn't have the cute appearance that they do now. We knew that in order to be the best adult piggy bank and kid's piggy bank we need to have a coin counter and coin holder.

We played with some interesting piggy bank concepts. However, when we added the bulk coin compartment to hold lots more coins than just the sorting compartments, and re-designed the Tuttle Safe to be manufacture-able at our Ohio facility, that we landed on the design of the Tuttle safe as it is today.
